Former President Goodluck Jonathan has announced he will be launching a new book, revealing events of his days before and after defeat in the 2015 presidential elections.
The book, entitled “My Transition Hours,” is scheduled to be formally presented at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on November 20, with President Buhari, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar expected to be in attendance.
The programme of events released by the organisers has President Buhari as special guest of honour, Mr. Obasanjo as chairman of the event, and Mr. Atiku as special guest.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Salihu Alfa Belgore is billed to review the book at event and General Theophilus Y. Danjuma (rtd) as chief book presenter, with Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, serving as chief host.
A sample of the invitation letter signed by Chairman of the Book Presentation Committee, Bashir Yuguda, confirms the attendance of foreign African heads of state, former leaders and international personalities, including President Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire and former Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama.
According to Mr. Yuguda, the new book “gives some insight into the 2015 presidential election and also reflects on some key decisions by the former president while in office.”
