Kano state house of assembly has, Wednesday, extended invitation to Governor Abdullah Ganduje as a part of its investigation into the bribery scandal involving him.

In a
letter, dated October 31, 2018, and stamped by the Office of the Executive
Governor, Government House, Kano, Governor Ganduje was asked to appear for the
investigative hearing of a a committee set up to determine the facts of the allegations
against the Governor.

The committee
also a written, signed and dated statement of the governor, as part of the
document to be submitted, on or before the date of the hearing, which will be
on Friday.

The fourth video of Mr. Ganduje receiving kickbacks from an unnamed contractor surfaces today, Thursday, as he’s set to appear before the House of Assembly probe panel.

The Kano state governor has been a subject of a series of videos where he’s seen receiving bundles of dollars, allegedly as kickbacks from contractors. The four videos so far released are part of 15 videos the Daily Nigerian publisher, Jaafar Jaafar, said are in his possession.

Sources at
the State Assembly confirmed that the governor would appear before the
panel tomorrow by 10am.
